"Boogie Down" Dimas Martinez, was born in the Bronx, New York and raised in Hialeah, Florida. This local boy, with the New York flava, is a seasoned veteran of South Florida radio. Dimas spent 10 years as the #1 rated night jock at Power 96.

That run on Power 96 opened the eyes of many stations across the country. One particular Program Director from NYC loved Dimas' original, energetic, unique style and thought it would be the perfect fit for his station, 103.5 WKTU. At the time, WKTU was the the number one station in America. It was an offer Dimas could not refuse. He accepted the gig and the nickname "Boogie Down" in the honor of his Bronx roots. Dimas spent two amazing years at WKTU. He took the night show from 13th place to number 2 in the market in less than a year.

"It was great time in the big city. I got to watch my NY Yankees win the '98 World Series and went to the victory parade. I could not even begin to describe to you the energy and vibrancy of New York. The city is alive. You feel it. It was a privilege to broadcast there."

The draw of sun and sand though was too great and Dimas returned to South Florida....Just in time for the launch of Party 93.1 in January 2002.
