Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Erik Velez moved to Central Florida in the early 90's. Erik's Love for Aerospace Engineering took him to Daytona Beach, FL where he attended Embry Riddle School of Aerospace Engineering. Because of the expenses of school, Erik decide to DJ and it's there where he discovered his passion and talent for Music. Erik's name became know around Daytona Beach for their legendary's spring breaks. The Coliseum Daytona's most prestigious nightclub was home to Erik's talents.

Erik's talents where fast to be noticed by Disney World and was hired to become the Entertainment Manager of Disney Magic Cruise Ship at the age of 20. With the opportunity of a Lifetime at an early age, Erik absorbed all he could in Europe where he DJ'ed at well known Clubs and Cities for a full year. After this Erik returned to Central Florida where he continued to work for Disney's Pleasure Island Night Clubs as well as all major clubs in the central Florida Area in city's like Orlando, Tampa and Daytona.

Orlando's 95.3 Party was Erik's next challenge. He got onboard before the station went on the air and was part of its launch with a successful rating. Erik Velez has been nominated and voted by the people as one of Orlando's top DJs by the Orlando Weekly. As Erik explored into new ventures, such as, holding a 3 year residency at Universal City Walk Nightclubs, as well as, a 2 year Residency @ the Groove in Daytona Beach along with guest spots at Clubs Like Roxy, Firestone, Tabu, Icon, House Of Blues, Hard Rock Live and the Pleasure Island Night Clubs among other Erik Velez decided to move on to Producing a CD. The Cd title Most Wanted 3 released in 2002 was mixed and in part produced by Erik Velez. With the success of the CD there was only one move to make, a bigger city; and Miami was the right city. With the opportunity to yet take another project under his wing Erik Velez made the move to Miami were he joined Miami's new PURE Dance Station, Party 93.1. was now Erik new home.

Currently Erik holds the Production Director Position at Party 93.1, as well as the recognition of being one of the top mixers on the station. This year Erik Velez along with his Remixing Partner Carlos Kryia have remixed songs for artist like No Doubt, Outkast, Usher, Patty Labelle, Felix the House Cat and Kim Sozi. Also for the second year in a row Erik has done the full audio Imaging production of the Dancestar Awards.

As Erik Velez moves on to a bigger markets with help of people that have always given him a chance as well as supported him through the years, Erik Velez promises this year to be a year full of "New Things", as he takes his game to the next level. Full of passion and love for music and people, Erik Velez will have a lot more to come for those who follow him.
