A Miami native, born and raised, music has been DJ Rene's life and his love. Rene has been a DJ since the age of 13. Mostly doing house parties and school functions usually for a very small fee or NO FEE AT ALL! For Rene, it was never about the money; it was about playing music and making people respond to it!

Inspired by Miami's own DJ Laz, Rene started to make his way into the local club scene at places, such as, Rick's Bar, Suzan's in the Grove, Casanovas, and Club 1235, just to name a few. Hoping to pursue a career in radio, Rene got his big break in December of 1994 when DJ Laz had him as a guest Mixer on his radio show. After that, the rest is history. In February of 1995, he was hired as an official DJ and became one of the biggest DJ's on South Florida radio in the late 90's. Within months of playing on various Mix shows and being 2nd String, Rene was given his own Mix shows.... The number 1 rated - The Sunday Brunch Mix and the very famous Freestyle Friday Mix. Rene left radio to chase career opportunities in the Latin music market. Soon after, he became the Music Director for HTV, a Latin music video channel where he was given the opportunity to do dance remixes for major Latin artists such as Oro Solido. Nevertheless, Rene's love for DJing got the best of him and pulled him back into the club scene.

Working on South Beach at clubs, such as, Liquid, Bar Room, Crystal, Amnesia, to name a few, Rene's interest in house, dance, and trance music suddenly became his new love. Focusing on returning to radio, and having his own radio locked on Party 93.1, it finally dawned on him where he wanted to bring his talent and listeners to.....Party 93.1. Given the opportunity by Phil Michaels (Station PD), Rene has finally ended his journey looking for a new home to give listeners what he was born to do..... MIX MIX MIX!!!!!

So finally.... DJ RENE IS BACK ON THE AIRWAVES AGAIN!
